Winter Spiced Porridge

Adding an egg in to your porridge is a great way to incorporate protein as well as making the porridge nice and creamy! You won't even taste it. Trust me…

The Winter spices are anti-inflammatory and also help to control blood sugar.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 1 tsp ginger ground

  • 1 tsp nutmeg ground

  • 1 tsp turmeric ground

  • 1 tsp honey

  • 1 egg

  • 1 serve protein powder (optional)

  • frozen blueberries

Method

  • Place all ingredients (except for the egg) in a saucepan on low heat for 5-10 mins until thickened

  • Stir in the egg on low heat until cooked through

  • Add toppings such as blueberries, nuts, pumpkin seeds to serve
